Dental Care Dundonald Resumes Normal Opening
After weeks of just being able to provide emergency dental care, we have finally been given the go ahead to open for non aerosol generating procedures (non AGP's) from Monday the 29th June.
This will include;
- Routine dental examinations
- Handscaling of teeth
- Any denture work
- Repair of teeth and fillings without the use of a drill
- Appointments for braces
- Extractions (not surgical)
For any treatment that requires an aerosol (AGP), we will have to wait until the 20th July and this will depend of our PPE supply. Jill has been busy ordering properly certified PPE but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, some of the PPE is incredibly hard to get hold of and any that we can purchase is being severely restricted per practice.
- All types of fillings where the use of a drill is required.
- Root canal treatments
- Preparing teeth for crowns and bridges
- Ultrasonic scaling of the teeth
- Removal of braces
- Surgical extractions
We know that quite a few of our patients have been in a lot of pain and discomfort during lockdown and they will have priority booking of our AGP slots from the 20th July onwards.
Due to social distancing measures in place, we are unable to see as many patients per day as we would have done pre-pandemic but we are now open longer from next week onwards to accommodate as many people as possible.
Our new opening hours for the foreseeable future are:
Monday; Jill 8.45am to 6.45pm
Ossie 9am to 7pm
Tuesday : Jill 8.45am to 6.45pm
Ossie 9am to 7pm
Wednesday: Jill 9.15am to 12.45pm
Ossie 9am to 5pm
Thursday: Naweed 9am to 5pm
Orla 8.45am to 6.45pm
Friday; Naweed 9am to 5pm
We have been getting in contact with as many patients as possible this week by both phone and email and will continue to do so over the coming days but if you would like an appointment please do contact us on 028 90483119 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that guidelines state that all patients must be phoned at least 24 hours before their appointment to ascertain their COVID status. We know that this may be an inconvenience for some but please be aware that we are required to do this to keep everyone safe.
As we are unable to see as many patients in one day as we would like and due to the increased costs of PPE, we are now going to be very strict with regard to charging patients for missed appointments.
This will be £1 a minute so;
Non -AGP Starting at £30
AGP Starting at £60
If you wish to cancel your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice by phone or email. We want to try and accommodate as many patients as possible each day.
